‘Not fit to be PM’: Concetta Fierravanti-Wells pans Scott Morrison

Veteran Liberal Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells has slammed Scott Morrison for his NSW factional power playing, describing him as “not fit to be Prime Minister”.
Following an email to Liberal party members on Tuesday afternoon where she said she wasn’t contesting the federal election because of a flawed pre-selection process, Senator Fierravanti-Wells launched an attack on the Prime Minister in the Senate, accusing him of lacking a “moral compass”.
“His actions conflict with his portrayal as a man of faith and he has used his so-called faith as a marketing advantage,” she said on Tuesday night.
Mr Morrison, who had never faced a preselection, had “trampled” the rights of members of the NSW Liberal Party, she added.
“Denying their proper preselections and installing his captain’s picks is classic Morrison,” she said.
“He and… Alex Hawke have deliberately contrived a crisis in NSW through a year of delays in not having selections.
“There is a putrid stench of corruption emanating from the NSW Liberal Party.”
Senator Fierravanti-Wells said Mr Hawke had a “hold” over Mr Morrison and she had received thousands of emails from Liberal party members “disgusted” at the situation.
“Morrison is not fit to be Prime Minister and Hawke is certainly not fit to be a minister,” she said.
