New video of missing tourist Theo Hayez released

A new video has been released of missing Belgian tourist Theo Hayez, more than three months after he vanished in Byron Bay.
The video was shared on the Looking for Theo Hayez Facebook page, as his father Laurent Hayez revisits the town.
It shows the 18-year-old in some of what he was wearing the night he went missing — tan trousers, black shoes, black watch and a silver chain necklace.
“A picture says a thousand words, yet this short VIDEO of THÉO with the voice of his beloved cousin Lisa in the background helps us to CONNECT more deeply with the young, joyful and vibrant person Théo is,” the Facebook post says.
“This short 7 second clip taken during his travels shows Théo waiting at an airport baggage claim area … As his cousin Lisa approaches you can hear her say, `Look what I found!’ and they both giggle and laugh together.”
Hayez went missing on his third night in Byron after leaving Cheeky Monkey’s bar about 11pm on Friday May 31.
He has been tracked to the Cape Byron area via his mobile phone, which last gave out a signal at 1.42pm on Saturday June 1.
After returning to Byron from Brussels on Sunday — his second visit since his son went missing — Mr Hayez on Thursday met with Byron Bay police for an update on the investigation.
“It’s a beautiful place. It’s a paradise,” he told The Australian on Monday.
“It’s like we are living a nightmare in paradise.”
The Facebook post said Theo was “not just an image on a missing poster”.
“He is a son, a brother, a cousin and friend … he is beautiful YOUNG MAN in the prime of his life who has disappeared without a trace.
