Inside the carpark where former Lone Wolf bikie Yusuf Nazlioglu was brutally murdered

A pool of blood trailing to a lift is all that remains in the underground carpark where former Lone Wolf bikie Yusuf Nazlioglu was fatally shot on Monday night.
Nazlioglu, who was acquitted of the 2018 execution killing of former Comanchero boss Mick Hawi, died in hospital after being shot up to 10 times last night in Sydney’s west.
Since the shooting, the entire carpark had been in lockdown with vehicles prevented from entering and exiting until it was re-opened around 11:30am on Tuesday.
At the time of reopening, police left the carpark with multiple bags of evidence.
One resident whose car was on level five of the carpark – the same level as the shooting – took The Australian into the carpark as she checked her car for damage.
Most parking spots were occupied by vehicles, some with dash cameras.
Detectives were seen checking documentation and brown paper bags of evidence. They also removed large amounts of police tape.
The unknown man who fired the shots was then seen to leave in a small, silver-coloured hatchback.
“As he was parking his car, he was approached by an unknown male, who produced a firearm,” NSW Police Detective Superintendent Martin Hayston told reporters at Burwood Police Station on Tuesday. “That person fired a number of shots at the man.”
The incident occurred about 6.30pm in the carpark of Nazlioglu’s apartment complex.
“The man was shot on his torso and in his head,” Mr Hayston continued.
“The attack in our view was a targeted attack. The person who approached the 40-year-old male and shot him clearly was there to do that.’’
Mr Hayston said the silver-coloured hatchback was located, on fire, in a carpark around the corner from the incident scene.
The shooting follows a string of underworld attacks that have occurred in recent years.
Police found a car less than 1km away in an industrial carpark but did not confirm whether it was linked to the shooting.
Nazlioglu was rushed under police escort to Westmead Hospital, where he died on Tuesday morning.
According to social media posts Nazlioglu married his wife Jade Heffer, formerly a fitness instructor, in January this year.
The shooting took place near a busy shopping precinct and train station.
