Victoria Health names new COVID exposure sites

A suburban shopping centre, a cinemas and a bayside yacht club have been revealed as the latest coronavirus public exposure sites in Victoria.

In a New Year’s Eve late night update, the Department of Health and Human Services added five new venues across Melbourne to the list places visited by a confirmed case of COVID-19.

It comes as Victoria recorded five new locally acquired cases in the past 24 hours, all announced on December 31.

Another three virus cases were recorded in hotel quarantine, taking the number of active cases in the state to 18.
