Fans and a security guard have been injured during an appearance of YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI on Monday morning.
Fans, some of whom had been waiting overnight, swarmed the street outside The Today Show studio in North Sydney for a meet-and-greet with the YouTubers turned professional UFC fighters.
A security guard was injured when he was thrown to the ground and caught behind a 1.2m cement barricade, which was knocked over during a crowd surge.
One woman, who had left her home at 5.30am to meet the stars, was rescued by police after fans shouted “someone’s fainted, someone’s passed out”.
Paul and KSI are in Australia to promote their energy drink Prime — the official drink for Premier League soccer team Arsenal. The Today Show interview was their only breakfast TV appearance in the country.
Multiple fans – who had been promised free bottles of the energy drink – were injured in the push towards the barricade.
One fan stopped traffic as as he attempted a “shoey” with the energy drink on the road.

Paul and KSI were taken to the studio’s balcony, where they greeted fans and threw bottles of Prime out to the crowd.
“We love you guys so much thanks for showing up,” said Paul.
Paul, who rose to notoriety in December 2017 after posting a video showing a dead body in Aokigahara forest in Japan, told Today Show hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo: “We met with some pretty feral fans. I’ve got to say.”
