As with virtually every other major sporting event this year, the 2020 Melbourne Cup looks a little different this time around. In lieu of the knees-up that usually takes place at Flemington with somewhere around 100,000 attendees, despite the city having opened back up this year’s Cup is an audience-free event. The focus has diverted to at-home celebrations, with Myer’s Fashions on the Field even pivoting to Myer Fashions on Your Front Lawn. But the fashion set aren’t missing the opportunity to get frocked up, many documenting their celebrations — and sartorial choices — to social media.
