Sia joins James Corden in Carpool Karaoke for Late Late Show
Listen to Late Late Show host James Corden and Sia bust out Titanium and Chandelier as they drive around Los Angeles.
Aussie pop star Sia has appeared on James Corden’s Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke series on Youtube, and explained why she keeps her face mostly obscured by wigs in public.
“I only wear this when there are cameras around — I only wear it to maintain a modicum of privacy,” she tells Corden as they drive around Los Angeles, occasionally breaking into karaoke versions of Sia’s hits, Titanium and Chandelier.
“I was a singer already for 10 or 11 years, to mediocre success. I was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I sobered up and decided I didn’t want to be an artist any more because I started to get a little bit famous and it was destabilising in some ways.
“So I thought, what doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment, and it was mystery. You know, there are pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist.”
Corden, a British TV personality, has used his Carpool Karaoke series on Youtube to promote the Late Late Show, which he started hosting last year. In one previous episode, he pretended to let Stevie Wonder drive his car.
Sia has won eight ARIAs and been nominated for five Grammys.
