Rachael Trainor, wife of the vocational training entrepreneur Ryan Trainor, has listed their Brighton abode. The Kinane Street, dress circle home was bought in 2011, the year Ryan made his Young Rich Lister debut with a net worth of $27 million. The trophy home was bought in Rachael’s name for $5.3m. The home has five bedrooms, three living zones, a home office and wine cellar. A limestone terrace overlooks the swimming pool and spa, while one of the living zones opens to a soccer pitch on its 1450sq m parcel. There is $7.2m-$7.92m price guidance through Marshall White agents Andrew Campbell and Kate Strickland, who have scheduled a May 24 auction.
Par for Toorak course
A Toorak offering by longtime Australian golf promoter Tony Roosenburg headlines the pricey suburb’s weekend auction listings. The knockdown 1970s Sargood Street home on 430sq m comes with plans by architect Rob Mills. Kay & Burton agents Michael Gleeson and Nicole Gibson have a $4m-$4.3m price guidance, which ranks it below Toorak’s $4.6m median house price. But keen bidding could see the recent $11,000 per square metre land value record neared or bettered. Meanwhile, there’s whispers Elsternwick-based Kogan founder Ruslan Kogan has paid a record Toorak house price. The reputed off market $38.8m price doesn’t make the cut as the Melbourne record as that was probably secured with the yet to settle $52.5m sale by art dealer Rod Menzies for his Stonington mansion in Malvern.
MP makes her move
Politician Jann Stuckey is trading up in her Gold Coast electorate of Currumbin, where she has been based for more than three decades. Stuckey has listed in Currumbin Waters, which has been home with husband Richard since 1987 when they moved from Adelaide paying $223,000. Coast Creek and Country Realty agents Nils Turner and Renee Pannekoek have set a May 26 auction for the home set on 5785sq m. The couple aren’t moving far. They’re off towards the water, having settled on a $3.1m near-beachfront home at Bilinga. Stuckey was elected in 2004.
Car dealer sells
One of Brisbane’s top luxury car dealers, Greg Willims, who heads Willims Motor Group, sold his redundant Ascot home for $2.1m last week. Having traded up to an opulent nine-bedroom home nearby in 2015 when he spent $6m with wife Susanne, Willims listed the home with mid-$2m hopes. It was on and off the market through various agents before being sold by Milan Markanovic at Tom Offermann Real Estate. Completed in 2002, the five-bedroom home on 518sq m comes with a private master suite on the ground floor. A swimming pool with water feature is accompanied by an outdoor entertaining area.
