Steve Ciobo sells Gold Coast home
Liberal MP Steve Ciobo and wife Astra have quietly sold their Gold Coast home.
The “will he, won’t he stand again” politician Steve Ciobo, the Liberal Party Gold Coast member, and wife Astra have quietly sold their Gold Coast home. The couple’s Surfers Paradise property fetched $3.02 million, well up from the $2.06m paid in 2015. The Mediterranean-inspired entertainer on a 1185sq m Isle of Capri parcel fronts the Main River. There’s no sign of buying back, but the Ciobos retain a Hope Island apartment. When asked, his office advised Ciobo did not wish to comment. “He is staying living in the electorate,” they said. Ciobo served as the minister for trade, tourism and investment in the Turnbull government from February 2016 until his resignation in August 2018 in the wake of the Liberal Party leadership spill. The house was architecturally designed in 2001 for a large family and has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and an open study across its 675sq m living space.

Kay & Burton South Yarra agent Michael Armstrong, who is marketing the home with Michael Gibson, says the “true A-grade property” will be a great test of the market. They are seeking $11m-$12m.
Late radio host’s property listed

Keatings Real Estate agent John Keating is asking $4.95m.
