Neo-hippies of Glastonbury and radical Islam united by bloodlust for Jewish deaths

Let’s be clear – this is not a movement for peace, it’s a movement for war on Jews.

The descent of Glastonbury into 'a gross orgy of death chanting shows many of our young have taken the wrong side'.

Last weekend, as drunk privileged Brits hollered “Death to the IDF” at Glastonbury, a British lad more than 3000km away was preparing for something very different.

His name was Yisrael Natan Rosenfeld. He was 20 years old. He was born in London but moved to Israel with his family 11 years ago.

And on that Saturday that the high mob at Glasto clamoured for the death of the Jewish state’s soldiers, Natan, as he was known, was in Gaza. For he himself was a soldier of the Jewish state, one of those young warriors for Zion whose death was dreamt of by the woke of Glastonbury.

Horribly, sickeningly, they got their way. Their cry of death for the IDF came true.

On Sunday, Natan was killed by an explosive device planted by Hamas.

Think about what this means. On that balmy Saturday, two groups of people were thinking “Death to the IDF”: the supposed progressives rocking out at a music festival in Somerset and the neo-fascists of Hamas who were laying the deadly trap that 24 hours later would claim the precious life of a young British Jew. The weed-smoking neo-hippies of Glastonbury and the regressive militants in that army of anti-Semites called Hamas.

These people might be morally miles apart, one side made up of plummy gender-fluid kids who love to wrap themselves in the Pride flag, the other of medieval hysterics who’d throw a homosexual off the top of a tall building given half the chance.

But last weekend they were as one. They were bound together in a truly dystopic wish for the violent demise of Israel’s soldiers. They were united by a bloodlust for Jewish death.

Natan’s father paid a moving tribute to his son. Natan was fighting, he said, “for his parents, his family, his people”. Yet back in the country of Natan’s birth, his fellow young Brits were being whipped into a bug-eyed frenzy as they wailed in their thousands for the death of people like him.

We need to talk about this. For it is the starkest proof yet that in the great civilisational clash of our time – that between the democratic Jewish nation and its Dark Age enemies – many of our young have taken the wrong side.

Those scenes at Glasto, the descent of that festival of peace and love into a gross orgy of death chanting, confirms that the keffiyeh classes are not just “critical of Israel”. No, they agree with Israel’s racist, regressive foes that it must be wiped without mercy from the face of the Earth.

This has been a mask-off week for the “pro-Palestine” set. The keffiyehs have come down to reveal the violent-minded Israelophobia that lurks behind the “peace movement” facade.

The chant “Death to the IDF” spread like a pox from the sunny fields of Glastonbury across Britain. It was hollered by a mob outside the Welsh parliament. It was scrawled on a phone box in Swiss Cottage, a part of London with a large Jewish population.

It has been feverishly defended in the leftish press. Calm down everyone, said a haughty, non-Jewish scribe at The Guardian; “Death to the IDF” is only a cry for the “dismantling of a violent military machine”.

The gaslighting is off the scale. Let us be clear: “Death to the IDF” means “Death to Jews”. First, because the IDF is a predominantly Jewish army. But more importantly because the IDF is the only force capable of defending the Jewish homeland from the armies of anti-Semites on its borders.

“Dismantle” the IDF and you leave millions of Jews at the mercy of terrorist militias founded with the express intention of the genocide of Jews.

Either the people chanting “Death to the IDF” don’t know this, which makes them ignorant, or they do, which makes them racist. That the activist class is so cavalier, gleeful in fact, about “dismantling” the only thing standing between the Jewish nation and its bloody obliteration is not surprising. For the erasure of Israel is fundamentally what they desire.

In her latest frothing rant, Clementine Ford gave voice this week to the apocalyptic misanthropy of the bourgeois Israel-haters. This “f--king terrorist state” needs to be “completely dismantled”, she said.

This is what the moral derangement of Israelophobia does to people. It turns you from a feminist into something like a fascist. It makes you sound more Joseph Goebbels than Germaine Greer.

“Israel needs to be destroyed,” said Ford, blissfully unaware of how violently anti-human such a cry sounds to those not yet lost to the virus of anti-Israel animus.

She is only saying more brutishly what this entire movement of time-rich, turbo-smug haters thinks. Namely, that the Jewish state is a pox on humanity that must be scrubbed by any means necessary from the family of nations.

That’s what their chant of “From the river to the sea” means – the excision of the Jewish nation from the Middle East.

That’s why their placards say “Death to Zionism” or “Zionism is a cancer to the planet” – because they are devoted to the removal, the annihilation, of the homeland of the Jews.

They share, precisely, the dream of Israel’s enemies – that the “cancerous” project of Zionism must be cut out of the Middle East and the Jews sent “back to Germany, or wherever they came from”, in Hezbollah’s words.

This week has shown, beyond a doubt, that many of our young and educated are now essentially the foot soldiers of a new fascism.

With their festival chanting for the death of Jewish soldiers and their dream of erasing the Jewish nation, they’re doing the bidding of radical Islam, of the new genocidaires.

This is not a movement for peace. It’s a movement for war. War on Israel and war on anyone who subscribes to the ideals of Zionism. In other words, war on Jews.

Their rejection of civilisation has led them into a suicidal embrace with barbarism. Those of us who support Jewish security and love Western values have not a minute to waste.
