The University of Melbourne has joined a global network of business schools.
The University of Melbourne has joined a global network of business schools whose members are developing new course content to be shared among the group.
The network, currently with eight members, is also building a digital learning platform which it believes will offer students, and executives doing professional development courses, a more flexible and individual experience.
Melbourne Business School deputy dean Nasser Spear said the platform was custom-made for professional learning.
MBS plans to put courses designed for professionals and executives on the platform, starting with a special certificate in supply chains and logistics. This course will be available to other business schools in the group and Melbourne will also be able to use courses created elsewhere.
Students will also have the opportunity to travel to other business schools in the network to broaden their experience.
The eight members of the group are Imperial College Business School, ESMT Berlin, BI Norwegian Business School, the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University, Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, EDHEC Business School, Fudan University and the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne (of which MBS is a part).
