NSW solicitor-general Michael Sexton takes Ramsay Centre role
NSW solicitor-general Michael Sexton will chair the selection panel for the Ramsay Centre’s new, high-value postgraduate scholarships.
The Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation has appointed NSW Solicitor-General Michael Sexton to chair the nine-member selection panel for its new postgraduate scholarships, which will support students with up to $85,000 a year to study at a top world university.
Applicants for the first round next year must first apply and be accepted to a postgraduate course at a prestigious overseas university (for example, Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale or the Sorbonne), then apply by March 31 for a Ramsay scholarship, which will cover living costs, tuition fees and other expenses.
Applicants are expected to show “prior interest and achievement in Western civilisation studies broadly defined” or propose to study in this area.
Included in the suite of scholarships are six $60,000 a year awards for the two-year master of arts in the liberal arts offered by St John’s College Annapolis, which includes an internship program in the Washington, DC, area.
