Amazon offers first machine learning summer school in Australia
Amazon is offering its first machine learning summer school in Australia to ready students to meet the boom in demand for this skill.
Amazon is offering a free online summer school in machine learning to university students to let them learn from the company’s specialists and have the opportunity to question them.
Amazon vice-president of international machine learning Rajeev Rastogi said participants would be exposed to deep machine learning topics and see how they applied to real world problems.
He said the field was rapidly becoming central to many industries and rapid innovation occurring. “There’s going to be a huge demand for machine learning talent,” he said.
The summer school will take place across four weekends and is suitable for engineering and computing science students who must pass a test of machine learning and maths fundamentals and show their programming expertise. It is the first time the summer school, which has been successful in India, is being offered in Australia.
