I have not been involved in a protest since the Vietnam moratorium marches at university but if I still lived in Victoria I would be joining the farmers in the Wimmera to stop the desecration of farmland for the installation of poles and wires for net zero.

Simon Gamble, Noosa Heads, Qld

Thank you Gemma Tognini for another insightful column (“The march towards fascism under the banner of social justice”, 5-6/7).

What caused disquiet was the feeling that an Australian Jewish woman should feel ashamed and fearful to speak up in case she is discriminated against. No one is our society should feel they need to hide who they are.

Kathy Sharp, Neutral Bay, NSW

Four flags for the two teams competing in the Rugby Test in Newcastle. Fiji one flag; Australia three flags. Ridiculous.
