Last Post: Zoe Daniel, Grumpy Liberals and the qualities of a perfect PM
Regarding Zoe Daniel’s article “Enough empty promises; the teals aim to deliver” (10/5), it occurs to me that under the combined supervision of a federal ICAC, a climate commission and an Indigenous voice, future federal parliaments will not want for external oversight – though whether such an affront to the ancient prerogatives of parliament is warranted is another matter entirely.

Grumpy Liberal voters in Warringah should be aware that a vote for Zali Steggall is a vote for Labor, which could result in Warringah’s inaugural endorsement of a Labor PM.

David Littleproud condemns Labor’s $400m plan to upgrade an Adelaide hospital (“Coalition refuses to match ‘reckless’ $400m health pledge”, 10/5) but is silent on the Coalition’s plan to spend $660m on carparks not selected by the Infrastructure Department. The hypocrisy astounds.

It is clear Labor stands for a high-taxing large government telling everyone how to live their lives, but I am still trying to work out what the Coalition stands for.

What would make a perfect prime minister? The intellect and political cunning of Paul Keating, the grace and charm of Malcolm Turnbull, the experience and determination of Penny Wong and Tanya Plibersek, and the bravery, intelligence and humour of Julia Gillard.
