Most of the blame for the Conservative Party of Canada’s defeat in the election lies solely with Pierre Poilievre. Donald Trump’s tariffs and rhetoric on Canada becoming the 51st state haven’t helped, but if Poilievre couldn’t convince the Canadian people to vote for him then that’s his problem.
