Last Post: New meaning to Burke’s Backyard

Once upon a time Burke’s Backyard was a popular TV gardening series. Under the Albanese government it has become the place where Australia’s domestic and foreign policies are decided.

Bryan Welsh, Tea Gardens, NSW

All that has changed is that he is now PM. His silence sends an even louder message than anything shouted into that megaphone.

Burt Bosma, Surrey Hills, Vic

(“Tehran ‘could have 10 nuclear warheads within six months’, 4/10), yet Joe Biden ‘rules out G7 all-clear for strike on nukes’ (4/10). Iran would hold the world to ransom if Israel is precluded from taking out Iran’s nuclear threat.
