Australians would be unwise to travel to Turkey.

The real threat from the Turkish President’s comments is the incitement they provide to extremists to target Australians attending the Gallipoli commemorations. Australian would be unwise to travel to Turkey this year unless Recep Tayyip Erdogan personally withdraws his comments and guarantees the safety of visitors. Weasel words from apologists about him being taken out of context will not suffice.

I see there is a move to change the name of the Crusaders rugby team in the wake of the Christchurch murders. The move is said to remove any offence to local Muslims. But what about the name of the city? Surely the same logic should apply.

Much of the world is in a state of turmoil because of the atrocities being committed in the name of Allah. We all know this but we’re not allowed to say it. Will it ever stop, if we’re not allowed to talk about it?

Australia’s population grows at nearly 400,000 a year, thanks to an immigration policy on steroids. So we attempt to build a city the size of Adelaide every three years — and no one can explain why any country would do such a thing.

Having watched the performance by Greens leader Richard Di Natale on The Bolt Report, I am firmly convinced that a vote for the Greens in May is not only irresponsible but quite possibly insane. How this man has the gall to lecture anyone on so-called hate speech is beyond comprehension.

Nick Mazzarol, Fernvale, Qld

Labor displays hypocrisy when asking the government to put One Nation below Labor and the Greens. Given Labor preferences the Greens almost everywhere and given the Greens are the most dangerous socialist party in the country, why don’t they promise to preference the Greens last?

Dawn Dillon, Forest Hill, Vic

The Victorian Premier and the Greens are ignorant of the unifying power of the Lord’s Prayer. Christ’s point was the universality of humanity, regardless of race, in ideal harmony under one God. Anything else is something less — the factionalism and tribalism our society is falling into.

It would appear that British PM Theresa May and the unelected munchkins from Brussels, with their interminable machinations and obfuscations, have almost achieved what they wanted: a nose-thumbing refutation of the British people and their democratic referendum.
