Last Post: Love him or hate him, Trump will go down in history

Swamp 1, Trump 0.

Tony Swain, Ashford, SA

I strongly suspect all the allegations of vote rigging in the US election will be found to be purely Trumped up charges

George Harley, Mount Isa, Qld

COVID-19 defeated Donald Trump.

Tom Davis, Mosman Park, WA

Now that the showman has himself been fired, one can but hope that his business dealings, and those of his family and cronies, will be subject to intense investigation by the authorities and, where appropriate, charges laid. Far from draining the swamp, Donald Trump managed to make the swamp deeper, wider and more putrescent.

Roy Stall, Mount Claremont, WA

Alas, it seems the Donald is a lame duck.

Andrew Strauss, Darling Point, NSW

If nothing else, the US election has shown that a leader must first and foremost be someone who can unite a country. Skills in increasing jobs and looking after the economy come second.

Mark Chapman, Buderim, Qld

Make America united again.

Susan Caughey, Glen Iris, Vic

My deepest condolences to President Putin

Tommy Puckett, Ashgrove, Qld

Congratulations to Joe Biden on becoming President of the United States. I am sure we all wait with bated breath to see him keep his election promises. Apparently by 2024 he will have beaten COVID-19, ended racism in the US and brought the nation together. I must say I am surprised he did not add “no child living in poverty” to his promises.

Ray Warren, Mandurah, WA

Thankfully, America is run by the rule of law, not the rule of media. US mainstream media wrongly headlined Thomas Dewey beating Harry Truman and Al Gore beating George W. Bush. The real winner in Trump v Biden will be announced when the law runs its course.

Jack Sonnemann, Lucaston, Tas

The saving grace of Joe Biden winning in 2020 is that Donald Trump will be available to win the 2024 and 2028 elections.

Dudley Horscroft, Banora Point, NSW

I hope the Morrison government is retaliating as Trump did by putting tariffs on the Chinese goods being dumped in Australia.

Brian Doherty, Beenleigh, Qld

Donald Trump must run again in 2024. After three months of Joe Biden and three years and nine months of Kamala Harris, Trump will win in a landslide.

Peter West, Aveley, WA
