Last Post: Don’t go, Gladys ... but if you have to we could use you in Victoria?
Leaving aside the empathy many of us feel for Gladys Berejiklian’s predicament, is there any chance at all the NSW ICAC investigative team could take over the Victorian hotel quarantine inquiry when it finishes its present task? The present lot aren’t doing a particularly good job at finding answers or getting results, at least not without Peta Credlin’s assistance.
John McLeod, Maroochydore, Qld
Gladys Berejiklian is an outstanding Premier and the people of NSW would not want her to resign. Yes, she picked the wrong guy to love. That’s never happened before, has it?
Phil Johnson, Dee Why, NSW
If NSW lets Gladys Berejiklian go there is a state just south of the border that requires a well-organised, competent and believable premier. I am sure the branch-stackers in Melbourne could organise a seat. Save us, Gladys.
Murray Horne, Cressy, Vic
The same conservatives who pilloried Julia Gillard for not knowing as a young lawyer her boyfriend’s questionable dealings are now defending the see-nothing, hear-nothing approach of the Premier of NSW toward her boyfriend’s questionable dealings.
Han Yang, North Turramurra, NSW
It would be insanity for Gladys Berejiklian to go. We need her more than ever.
Gerald Hayes, Bardwell Park, NSW
Clearly the COVID-19 pandemic is not as important as we thought, judging by the headlines about Gladys’s private life.
Tim Smallwood, Echuca, Vic
Let the NSW politician who is without sin cast the first stone.
John V. Diamond, Rochedale Sth, Qld
John Stephen (Last Post, 14/10), is it that we are one-eyed supporters of our own premiers in comparing their stuff-ups? I have trouble identifying Annastacia’s stuff-ups, let alone classing them as “big”.
Dawn Reilly, Graceville, Qld
To all those inhabitants of glass houses: judge not lest ye be judged.
Paul Everingham, Hamilton, Qld
I just cannot get the Doris Day song Secret Love out of my head.
David Hall, Coombabah, Qld
If Gladys is unfortunate enough to lose her premiership can she please come to Victoria to sort out the diabolical mess Dan Andrews has got us into? We can even arrange security guards to keep her away from any blokes called Daryl.
Ken Scott, Mount Eliza, Vic
Daniel Andrews must be thrilled at the increase in his presser ratings since Peta Credlin started attending.
Ken Starke, North Balwyn, Vic
