Labor is beginning to worry about Scott Morrison’s progress.
With Scott Morrison making real progress and Labor’s Left on display, it is no surprise Labor MPs keep asking why MalcolmTurnbull is no longer PM. They wish.
Bill Shorten’s pledge to restore trust in the system is biting off more than he can chew. He would do well to simply restore trust in Labor.
Well said, Nick Cater (“Labor’s magic pudding approach to fairness is too hard to swallow”, 17/12). Labor didn’t need to hold a conference to parade its predictable ideology.
Labor’s conference may well be summarised as trickle-up economics needing to become a flood to pay for all its promises.
After reading Chris Kenny’s article about Darebin Council, I was dumbstruck (15/12). I think someone should test the council’s drinking water. How dare the mayor bring politics into our Christmas festivities, brainwashing children who are not old enough to make up their minds about climate change?
Darebin Council was not installed as a result of either electoral fraud or an armed coup, so perhaps the blame for the leftist lunacies it sponsors should be placed where it belongs — with the electors of Darebin.
The usual outraged suspects will be mobilising to force Wollongong University to back down on its decision to host the Ramsay Centre. Everything that underpins our culture and society is anathema to those who are its main beneficiaries.
It was correct to recognise West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Jews have had an association with it for thousands of years. While the UN condemns Israel about its right to defend against Palestinian attacks, it says nothing about its Human Rights Council chair Saudi Arabia refusing to take in Muslim asylum-seekers fleeing nearby war zones.
Thanks to William Kininmonth (Letters, 17/12) for alerting us to the climate implications of emu flatulence and the need to remove goats from Canberra. With the silly season fast approaching, I would add the need to consider the unicorn farts so many seem to believe magically start up to keep the lights on when the wind stops.
Whatever you may think of British Prime Minister Theresa May, at no time has she ever dragged out the misogyny card.
