Referring to “Labor drops hostility to coal” (19/4), my immediate reaction is “until we win government”. Never forget “there will be no carbon tax under my watch”.

Bravo, Peter Dutton. His stance on reinstating the meritorious unit citation and his insistence that Defence focus on its core mission and not woke cultural fads shows a leader who is prepared to stand up for values that most Australians espouse.

Why aren’t the AFL taking a knee prior to their games any more? Surely Black Lives still matter to them, don’t they?

The ABC says it has a “highly regarded legal team consisting of 28 talented lawyers” (“ABC to expand ‘woefully bloated’ legal unit”, 19/4). The outcome of the Christian Porter defamation case will ultimately give the answer to whether the ABC lawyers are both highly regarded and talented.
