You only have to look at Meghan Markle to see how arrogant the English are
Those damn Englanders, they are nothing but trouble. The Irish Times, April 23, 2001:
Shakespeare is racist and sexist. George Orwell is too subversive to be trusted and Jonathan Swift is just not funny. These are the views of a team of four white teachers commissioned to review the curriculum in South Africa … The Taming of the Shrew and Julius Caesar were denounced as “sexist”. Hamlet was described as “Eurocentric”, perhaps because it was set in Denmark instead of Durban, and in any event, royalty was “no longer fashionable”.
The English are uppity and suspicious of foreigners. Humanities department, Cedar Crest College, a private liberal arts women’s college in Allentown, Pennsylvania:
Today, race is defined according to our views, our concerns and our involvement … The English were very leery and suspicious of any foreigners and treated all strangers as suspect. This was partly due to their lack of understanding and knowledge of other cultures. The people of England believed themselves to be far superior and treated others with indignity and pity.
Just look at the racist manner in which they treated Meghan. NBC News, February 10:
Less than two years after their May 19, 2018, wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have quit as full-time royals. According to supporters, they were driven out by toxic coverage in the British media, which often veered into racist harassment and bullying.
Their Winston was woeful. The Washington Post, February 3, 2015:
But there’s another side to Churchill’s politics and career that should not be forgotten amid the endless parade of eulogies. To many outside the West, he remains a grotesque racist and a stubborn imperialist, forever on the wrong side of history.
That Antifa mob gave Churchill a real spray. Chris Kenny, Sky News, June 8:
Antifa … style themselves as anti-fascists but then deface a statue of Winston Churchill, who undertook a “gruelling world war that defeated fascism”. The monument dedicated to the former British prime minister was defaced during a recent Black Lives Matter protest in London, with the word “racist” being written across the statue.
Once were warriors. The Guardian, June 6:
The antifa movement traces its heritage to radical left groups that resisted dictators such as Mussolini and Hitler in Europe in the 1930s. In Germany, the communist-aligned Antifaschistische Aktion fought street battles with Hitler’s followers until it was forcibly disbanded in 1933.
Dominic Lawson, the Daily Mail, June 8:
(The Churchill statue was vandalised on) the exact anniversary, June 6, of the 1944 Normandy landings: the single day which perhaps best exemplifies the British people’s struggle against genocidal fascism — a six-year-long fight inspired and led by Churchill.
With apologies to Monty Python, what have the English ever given us other than perhaps one of the greatest defenders of freedom and democracy? US News & World Report last year:
The nation has a long history of major contributions to the arts and sciences. William Shakespeare is regarded as one of the greatest writers in the history of English literature. British scientists discovered gravity, hydrogen and penicillin and developed theories in aerodynamics and natural evolution.
