Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Monday, February 13. The Australian sharemarket closed at its lowest level in four weeks after a number of company updates sparked heavy selling.
The S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.2 per cent to 7417.80 with eight of 11 sectors in the red.
Wall Street is set to fall this evening with futures tied to the S&P 500 down 0.5 per cent, Dow Jones futures were 0.3 per cent lower and the Nasdaq was set to fall 0.5 per cent.
The dollar was trading around US69.10c at the close.
