ASX 200: Netwealth seeks help on First Guardian fail; Nuix, PolyNovo exits; Breville jumps

That's all from the Trading Day blog for Monday, October 27. The ASX 200 index closed up 0.4 per cent at 9055.6 points on broad-based gains but well off a four-day high of 9083.4 achieved as US futures soared on US-China trade detente.
In US trading on Friday, the Dow Jones index cleared 47,000 points for the first time, up 1 per cent. The Nasdaq index lifted 1.2 per cent after the so-called Magnificent Seven outperformed, led by IBM's earnings-fuelled 8 per cent gain. The S&P 500 closed 0.8 per cent higher
Cryptocurrency giant bitcoin is $US114,600.
The Aussie dollar is trading higher around US65.34c.
