Telstra CTO Vish Nandlall exits as telco scraps role from exec line-up
Vish Nandlall has been sacked by Telstra, with the senior executive leaving the telco under a cloud.
Telstra has sacked its chief technology officer Vish Nandlall with the senior executive leaving the telco under a cloud.
Mr Nandlall left the telco this week and his exit is understood to have transpired under less than favourable circumstances.
It’s understood that the telco took action against Mr Nandlall after he was found to have falsified his CV and allegations of plagiarism of presentation material.
Mr Nandlall served a 21 month stint at Telstra and an industry source told The Australian that his position had been under pressure for some time.
Mr Nandlall, who joined Telstra from Ericsson North America, was responsible for the operations of the telco’s IT system and developing the technology road map for Telstra.
Telstra launched the Gurrowa innovation co-creation lab in Melbourne under Mr Nandlall’s auspices and he also led the telco’s Big Data and Machine Learning research and development initiatives. The future of a number of these programs is now uncertain with the unceremonious departure of Mr Nandlall.
