Named as one of its fastest growing start-ups ever, Reejig has received the backing of Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar as it looks to expand.

Just four months after its initial $6m Series A funding round investors in Reejig have topped up the company’s funding to $21m, with investors including Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar and wife Kim Jackson tripling their investment in the fast-growing start-up.

Venture capital firm AirTree Ventures says Reejig is one of the fastest growing companies in its portfolio, and that its revenue growth is best in class globally for a software company of its size.

Chaired by former Westpac CEO Brian Hartzer and led by CEO and co-founder Siobhan Savage, Reejig uses AI to give management an overview of the skills base within a company’s workforce to clients now including Woolworths, AWS, KPMG and John Holland.

It gives managers visibility over all the skills their employees have, and can predict where skills gaps lie.

The company is capitalising on demand from businesses who want to up-skill and re-train their workers, particularly amid the global pandemic.

With demand growing rapidly globally, Reejig has opened an office in the Silicon Valley and is building a team to take on the US market.

Alongside AirTree Ventures, the additional funds came from investment firm Skip Capital, headed by Kim Jackson and her husband Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar; Greta Bradman & CEO and founder of Culture Amp Didier Elzinga.

“The market conditions have completely changed over the past few months, and business leaders are now in a different place where they need to know who all their people are, and making sure they are giving everyone access to a meaningful career,” Reejig CEO Siobhan Savage said in an interview.

“The growth has been really organic. It’s been one customer telling another customer, and our investors have told us “you’re onto something, and you need to go faster, you need to take some capital and go quicker with this”.

“We’re forming a new category in the workforce intelligence space, so it’s a race to grow and create this category.”

Skip Capital founder Kim Jackson said Reejig has seen exceptional growth over the last 6 months, making it one of the fastest growing companies in Australia.

“They’ve hit on a clear market need in workforce management and combined with what we believe is the best product in market, are rapidly signing up new customers,” she said.

“The company is seeing a lot of demand in the US and is beating out global competitors - we’re excited to be doubling down on the team with this round to help accelerate overseas expansion.”

Reejig did not disclose its latest valuation.

“Reejig has had a phenomenal year of growth; a testament to the quality of the product, the exceptional team they‘re building and the market demand for a workforce intelligence platform focused on zero wasted potential in the most competitive talent market we’ve ever seen,” AirTree Ventures partner Elicia McDonald, said.

Ms Savage said it was a rewarding feeling to have the same investors back Reejig multiple times, and that it signalled that her executive team was doing something right.

“It‘s been a bit of a reassurance and a confidence boost for us that our existing investors have tripled their investment basically only a couple of months later,” she said. ”The process was really seamless too because they just wanted us to be able to focus.

“Our team is experiencing hyper-growth and we’re so excited for the next chapter.”
