Aconex in four-year deal with ExxonMobil
ASX-listed Aconex will provide project software for the oil and gas giant for the next four years.
Australian software firm Aconex has announced a four-year enterprise agreement with ExxonMobil, the world’s largest publicly-traded oil and gas firm.
Aconex (ACX) CEO Leigh Jasper said under the agreement all ExxonMobil companies and affiliates will be able to use Aconex project software for engineering and construction projects across the globe.
“We are pleased with this opportunity to partner with ExxonMobil at the enterprise level and serve their global project network,” Mr Jasper said.
“We have helped them deliver large, complex projects in multiple regions over the years, and now we look forward to supporting standardisation and process optimisation across their engineering and construction portfolio.
“This is a strategic win with significant implications for us in the oil and gas industry.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In a recent interview with The AustralianMr Jasper said he would like to see tax rates remain competitive and declared both parties should retain a strong innovation agenda, and better direct money into education without necessarily spending more.
“I just want a government to make it easy for business,” he said.
“I don’t want a government getting in the way; it needs to just allow innovation to happen, to facilitate it.”
