Special Report: BHP has purchased Visionflex’s comprehensive virtual care solution to enhance healthcare delivery at its remote locations in Western Australia.

Leader in real-time telehealth and diagnostic technology solutions Visionflex Group (ASX:VFX) has announced it has inked a deal with “The Big Australian” – BHP (ASX:BHP) – for its virtual care solution.

Visionflex said the contract encompasses the roll-out of Visionflex’s All-in-One (AIO) Patient-Facing Telehealth Carts at 13 medical centres and the deployment of a Mobile Telehealth Kit on one Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) aircraft.

The company said the deal was for an initial period of one year. It has been structured to include total first-year costs of $400,000 with one-off hardware revenue of $300,000 and software subscription annual recurring revenue of ~$100,000.

Visionflex will receive the full payment of the contract upfront, covering both the hardware and first year’s annual software subscription.

The company’s virtual care solution for BHP is scheduled to be fully implemented by the end of FY25.

Improving medical service for BHP’s workforce

Visionflex said its virtual care solution would enhance access to medical services, streamline operations, and improve safety for BHP’s Western Australian workforce.

The technology is designed to reduce reliance on medevac flights, cut travel costs for on-site staff, and deliver measurable operational benefits while supporting employee well-being.

"Our engagement with BHP, in a key industry vertical, is a powerful endorsement of our virtual care platform,”  Visionflex CEO Josh Mundey said.

“This partnership enables us to deliver robust, real-time clinical support and enhance healthcare access across remote sites.

“We are determined to make high-quality care accessible to every community, and this partnership marks a significant milestone in that commitment."
