Strata Minerals is ready to kick of a maiden drilling program in Western Australia in search of the next Penny gold mine.

With Topdrill in tow, explorer Strata Minerals (ASX:SMX) is raring to get to work at its Penny South gold project in Western Australia.

Slated to start in mid-February, this maiden drilling program will encompass 13 holes for nearly 3,000m of reverse circulation drilling.

This drilling is taking place immediately south of Ramelius Resources' (ASX:RMS) high-grade Penny West and Penny North gold deposits which are currently being mined.
