Special Report: Felix Gold has returned high-grade antimony recoveries of up to 85% in concentrate during metallurgical test-work at its Treasure Creek project in Alaska.

The results come amidst favourable market tailwinds for the essential critical mineral, including record prices of around US$59,800 and a global supply deficit.

The aim of the testwork was to assess the suitability of the mineralisation and processing flowsheet to begin antimony concentrate production later this year.

And so far, the samples from the NW Array and Scrafford deposits returned concentrate grades of up to 69%.

To put that in context, most commercially traded antimony concentrates grade between 40% and 55%, with only a limited portion exceeding 60%.

This places the product in the premium tier and potentially suitable for military-grade applications.

Plus, processing routes achieved recoveries exceeding 85% with low impurities, supporting efficient downstream conversion to metal.

Felix Gold (ASX:FXG) says this confirmed its capability to deliver a US-sourced, strategic-grade concentrate aligned with defense and critical mineral security priorities.

Fast-tracking production this year

The company has demonstrated the potential of the product to meet military or strategic-grade criteria as well as the potential to establish a rare, high-purity source from within the US - supporting national objectives around supply chain resilience and reducing reliance on foreign controlled supply.

Felix is now evaluating a potential production start in late 2025, pending the successful completion of feasibility studies and regulatory approvals.

FXG executive director Joe Webb said the results were a major technical validation of the Treasure Creek antimony project.

“Achieving over 85% recoveries and producing concentrates grading nearly 70% antimony — with exceptionally low impurities — places us among a very small group globally potentially capable of delivering military-grade product,” he said.

“We are surrounded by infrastructure, just 20 minutes from Fairbanks, Alaska, in a US jurisdiction that is central to the global reshaping of critical mineral supply chains.

“With record antimony prices, increasing geopolitical pressure and strong US government policy support for domestic production, Felix is uniquely positioned to move fast.

“Work is now focused on trenching, drilling, resource modelling, engineering, environmental studies and community consultation — all to assess the viability to commence antimony production by the end of this year."

Near-term the company plans to engage with potential antimony concentrate offtake partners as it looks to capitalise on the strong critical minerals market and growing strategic importance of domestic antimony supply.
