Veuve Clicquot has a 250-year history of creativity and innovation. Under Barbe Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin – Madame Clicquot – the “La Grande Dame of Champagne” and one of the first modern entrepreneurs, the house achieved many firsts: the first known vintage champagne; the invention of the riddling table, and the first known blended rosé champagne. These three inventions revolutionised champagne-making and became the basis of modern champagne production.
In another world first and to celebrate its new Rich cuvée, Maison Veuve Clicquot has partnered with luxury superyacht experts Ahoy Club to bring its iconic Veuve Clicquot Sun Clubs to Australia. Inspired by the house’s Solaire yellow, the Sun Club concept is designed especially for savouring the Rich cuvée so Australians can enjoy a taste of the French Riviera from down under.
From sandy beaches to spectacular alpine vistas, Sun Clubs capture the essence of Veuve Clicquot’s Solaire spirit. Bringing luxury and elegance to sun-drenched destinations across the globe, this year Sun Clubs debuted across Europe in Ibiza, Forte dei Marmi, Paris, Mykonos, Formentera, Capri, and Saint-Tropez, as well as the Caribbean, California and now, Australia.
“Veuve Clicquot’s Sun Clubs are a testament to the optimism and joy that sits at the heart of our maison,” Veuve Clicquot president and chief executive, Jean-Marc Gallot, said.
“What better way to celebrate their arrival in Australia than on board one of the fabulous superyachts of Ahoy Club, setting sail on the beautiful Sydney Harbour with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rich in hand, or at La Luna Beach Club on the beautiful Gold Coast. It’s the ultimate celebration of La Dolce Vita.”
Australian-owned charter company Ahoy Club has a portfolio of more than 3000 meticulously-selected luxury yachts across the globe. For the month of December, Veuve Clicquot has curated a suite of experiences on board six of its most prestigious craft: Mischief, Rascal, Chaos, Legacy, Bluestone and Evolution.
Clicquot-lovers can sip Rich cuvée and the maison’s iconic Yellow Label on sun-filled decks while parasols in Veuve Clicquot’s iconic sunburst-yellow bring the vibrant energy of the French Riviera.
While Bondi will showcase the new Rich cuvée at the iconic Icebergs Dining Room & Bar launching with their equally iconic First Day of Summer party on December 1, in the Sunshine State, Veuve Clicquot will bring the Sun Club to life at the iconic Gold Coast Beach Club and Waterfront Restaurant, La Luna. Guests can while away the afternoon on sun-filled terraces enjoying modern Mediterranean cuisine, panoramic views of the Broadwater and sip Clicquot Rich, which is specially crafted to be served on ice or very chilled.
True to its 250-year heritage of combining the art of winemaking with the art of Solaire living, Veuve Clicquot is defined by excellence and quality. Staying true to its motto of ‘Only one quality, the finest’, Veuve Clicquot uses only the juice from the cuvée – the first and most noble pressing – in every bottle, and continues to shine the world over.
