Coopers Brewery’s support of football in South Australia continues with a contract extension for its sponsorship at the Hindmarsh stadium.

Coopers Brewery has renewed its naming rights sponsorship of Coopers Stadium at Hindmarsh for another five years.

The extension will bring the family-owned company’s association with the football ground to 15 years by the time the contract rolls over in 2028.

The deal with Adelaide Venue Management also involves Coopers retaining “pourage” rights at the Adelaide Convention Centre and the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Coopers Brewery marketing and innovation director Cam Pearce said Coopers was proud to be a long-running supporter of football in its home state.

“We’re delighted to maintain naming rights over Coopers Stadium,” Mr Pearce said.

“Our latest investment reflects not only our long-term commitment to Coopers Stadium, but also our involvement in football here in South Australia.

“We’re excited to see the stadium upgrade begin to take shape and for Coopers to play a role in what promises to be an amazing game day experience for spectators in the seasons ahead.”

Coopers Stadium is currently undergoing a $53m upgrade which is scheduled for completion in December next year.

The stadium’s general manager Phil King said it was great to have Coopers on board again.

“The Coopers name is synonymous with South Australian hospitality, and is one of our state’s most trusted brands,” Mr King said.

“At a time when it would have been very easy to walk away from the sponsorship given the challenges of the past two years, it’s impressive that Coopers has continued to remain fiercely loyal to football.

“We’re proud to showcase Coopers’ famous South Australian beers across Adelaide Venue Management’s three venues.”

Regency Park-based Coopers, founded in 1862, is Australia’s largest independent family-owned brewery.

Coopers recently released the 21st edition of its limited-edition Vintage Ale.
