Beauty entrepreneur Zoe Foster Blake and media personality husband Hamish Blake have joined the rush to NSW’s South Coast with the purchase of a luxury spread in Jamberoo.

A company controlled by Foster Blake has quietly picked up a well known home perched in the private Nuninuna Estate, paying about $4.26m.

Former journalist turned author Foster Blake sold a controlling stake in her business, Go-To Skincare, to ASX-listed beauty company BWX for $89m last August.

The couple’s newly bought homestead sits on about 3ha and has views of valleys and hills down to the seascape. The property is close to Kiama’s beaches and about 90 minutes’ drive from Sydney. It was sold via Ray White agent Michele Lay who declined to comment.

With an all-weather road to Green Park, the rambling, secluded house was an escape for media personality and home-cook hero, Lyndey Milan, and her partner, the late John Caldon, who was an investment-banking leader at Macquarie Bank.

They transformed the single-level residence over the 25 years they owned it, re-orientating the home and bolstering its kitchen facilities. It now features a spacious entry foyer leading into an open-plan dining room and gourmet kitchen.

In late 2020, Foster Blake and Blake spent around $8.9m in Sydney’s affluent suburb of Vaucluse as they moved from Melbourne.

They bought a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home, set on 885sq m, from Peter O’Connell, the managing director of telecommunications company Amaysim Australia, who paid $6.8m for the home in 2016. Back in Melbourne, the couple lived in Richmond in an architecturally-designed home which they bought for $4.25m in 2015.

Funny man Blake, 40, told fans of their move in early December 2020, writing: “For a long time I have known that stealing my wife from Sydney would mean one day we’d venture there to live for a while”, referring to Bowral-born Foster Blake.

The hub of their new house flows onto a large entertainment balcony which wraps around the home. The new owners can take in the vistas over the croquet lawn and beyond to the Pacific Ocean and Lake Illawarra from the outdoor dining area.

The homestead also sports a stone staircase and there is also a lounge room with a stone fireplace for winter evenings. There are two separate wings of the home with six bedrooms — four with their own ensuites, three with walk-in robes — plus a main bathroom and powder room.

The property also has an orchard with fruiting trees including, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, pomegranates and a designated herb and vegetable garden. There is also a horse paddock to the east of the house with a dam and a fenced block of bushland.
