Property developer and richlister Tim Gurner is finally spreading the Saint Haven wellness concept to Sydney, by establishing a flagship club in Bondi Beach.

Mr Gurner, valued at almost $1bn, is also taking the Saint Haven brand to North Sydney, where he secured a 3000sq m site for a second Sydney Saint Haven in a boutique commercial building fronting 123 Walker Street.

Mr Gurner, founder and chairman of Gurner Group, said Saint Haven Bondi – a luxury private beach club – followed the success of five clubs in Melbourne in locations such as South Yarra, Toorak, Collingwood and St Kilda, and added that there was a substantial membership waitlist in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

Mr Gurner also plans to take the concept to Queensland’s Gold Coast, and overseas to the United Arab Emirates and the US.

“Since launching our first Saint Haven in 2023, we’ve had thousands of Sydney-based individuals join the waitlist, eager to experience something that doesn’t yet exist in their city,” he said.

“Bondi is a global icon of health and wellness – and Saint Haven will take that to another level. This will be unlike anything Sydney has ever seen.”

Saint Haven’s first Sydney club is expected to reach capacity well before opening due to a limited number of memberships, of which there are said to be about 400 available, though Mr Gurner would not comment on the figure.

Due to open in late 2026, the 1300sq m flagship club on the ground floor of the AVRA boutique apartment development will offer “an unparalleled sanctuary for those who demand more from life,” Mr Gurner said.

“At Bondi Beach, Saint Haven will deliver an experience unavailable anywhere else in Sydney – a transformative, members-only destination blending ancient rituals with cutting-edge science,” he said. “We’ll be taking everything we’ve learnt so far across Melbourne and elevating the experience even further – Saint Haven is an experience unlike anything else in the world, something that truly empowers you to live your best life.”

Mr Gurner added that Bondi was synonymous with health and wellness, and he was looking forward to unveiling Saint Haven Bondi and delivering experiences that were not currently available in the area.

When contacted by The Australian, AVRA marketing agent and SRM partner Ben Stewart described Saint Haven as “a fantastic amenity for Bondi in general, because Bondi is all about lifestyle”.

Mr Stewart has sold 11 of the 18 apartments on offer in the AVRA building on Bondi’s Curlewis Street, which is being developed by Clutch Capital, which will be Gurner Group’s landlord.

The remaining seven three- bedroom, north-facing apartments start from $10m. Mr Stewart said all apartments came with traditional parking spaces, while the interiors would be styled by Woods Bagot.

The two remaining 250sq m penthouses are priced from $23m to $25m.

The Saint Haven development will also include a restaurant, cafe and business lounge as well as Saint Haven, “home to the world’s most advanced biohacking and longevity technologies, including advanced hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, IV infusions, red light bed and EWOT (exercise with oxygen therapy)”.

There will also be a traditional-style bathhouse constructed from natural stone that will house a 39C magnesium pool, as well as dual cold plunge pools at temperatures of 6C and 10C.

The Bondi Beach club will also provide a world-class gym, heated mat and reformer pilates, yoga, strength and conditioning breathwork, sound healing and hybrid training programs. A SAVA Sound Pod – a futuristic, human-sized cocoon delivering music into your body at a cellular level via patented sensory sound healing technology, created by US firm TERSA, will also be on offer.

Gurner Group wellness and hotels chief executive Peter Crinis said Bondi was the most in-demand wellness location in Australia, and the Saint Haven concept would elevate the experience far beyond current offerings.

“We have already hired some very important leaders in Sydney, who will take this club to new highs as we focus on delivering a luxury service offering unlike any other,” Mr Crinis said.

“Bondi Beach is the hottest location in Australia for wellness, and we know the club will sell out long before its opening date – just like our key Melbourne locations.

“The offering at Saint Haven continues to evolve, and we are only just getting started – our members will continue to experience more and more at each location as we continue to elevate the experience beyond anything in the world.”

Mr Gurner would not comment on the Saint Haven membership cost, but sources estimated prices would start from $130 to $1000 a week.

Gurner Group was already assessing more sites for more potential Saint Havens in Sydney.
