Professional surfer Julian Wilson and wife Ashley have moved to Coolum, where the surfing fanatic grew up.
Professional surfer Julian Wilson and wife Ashley have moved to Coolum, where the surfing fanatic grew up. Having sold their Peregian Beach home for $4.15 million, the couple have spent $1.08m for a five-bedroom, architect-designed home set on 640sq m. The vast north-facing home features an open-plan living kitchen and dining room that opens to an alfresco area and saltwater swimming pool in landscaped gardens. PRD Nationwide Coolum Beach agent Greg Glover sold the home. Late last year the couple sold their award-winning Peregian Beach home. Wilson paid $3.325m for the Tim Ditchfield-designed home with external zinc cladding and concrete and timber features in 2015. It had been awarded House of the Year in 2009 and received a Regional Commendation by the Australian Institute of Architects.
Department of leisure
Sigma healthcare director David Bayes and wife Susan are selling Mulcahy, their Trentham weekend getaway. The historic home, in the Hepburn shire 95km north of Melbourne, was once a regional depot of a State Government Conservation Department. It cost the couple $600,000 in 2007.
Three buildings were retained from the original departmental use days. They restored the four-bedroom timber homestead on 1.4ha, set in established gardens, but don’t get to the property enough any more. Pat Rice & Hawkins agents Matt Childs and Peter Balharrie are expecting offers in excess of $1.4m.
Industry veteran’s offering
Brisbane property industry veteran Marina Vit and partner Andrew Lingard are selling their contemporary New Farm townhouse Lingard. Vit, the chief operating officer at Mosaic Property Group, paid $1.85m for the newly built BVN Architect-designed terrace in 2009. The home in The Ivy development of seven has four bedrooms and a pool. The entire top floor is dedicated to the master suite with walk-in-robe, marble ensuite and private deck. Each of the three levels are accessed by a private internal lift. Belle Property New Farm agent Ivo Kornel has the listing. Vit stepped down as chief executive at the Urban Development of Institute Australia Queensland last year, having spent five years in the role.
Country getaway back on sale
Ravenswood, the former Victoria country getaway of Offspring star Asher Keddie and her husband, Archibald Prize-winning artist Vincent Fantauzzo, is back up for sale just over two years after they sold it. Keddie and Fantauzzo secured a sale in late 2017. Now the 43ha farm is up for $2.45m. Keatings Real Estate Woodend agent Sandi Barry-Mueller, who sold the home for Keddie and Fantauzzo, is the listing agent again. There’s been no updates to the Hesket property in the Macedon Ranges north of Melbourne. The vendors are off to the Mornington Peninsula for family reasons. The Scandinavian-style residence has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A lake, two dams, spring-fed creek and original shedding amid old yards and English trees feature. The property also lends itself to equine interests, with an original stable complex and tack room.
