Sydney nursing home scion Mark Moran and wife Evette have finally sold their luxury Jamberoo estate south of Sydney for $4.1m.
Sydney nursing home scion Mark Moran and wife Evette have finally sold their luxury Jamberoo estate south of Sydney for $4.1m after listing it for sale back in November last year. CoreLogic documents reveal the luxury farmstay was sold to relatives of Mark Moran, the Stephens family. The Morans had high hopes for the scenic Wallaby Hill Road property when they paid $3m for it in 2017 with plans to allow staff from their aged-care homes to use it as a retreat. They have since spent around $2.5m renovating the 25ha property, which has a charming cottage with fireplace and outdoor hot tub and is a very popular short-term rental. With gardens designed by celebrity landscaper Charlie Albone, the property includes a four-bedroom, four-bathroom main house with heated marble bathroom floors, an opulent fire pit and a swimming pool overlooking the ocean.
Potter prepares for beach move
Queensland property developer John Potter has listed his Scenic Rim farm in the Gold Coast hinterland as he readies to move to his $15m luxury home under construction in Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach. Potter’s new mansion is located just up the road from Tony Smith’sHeron Avenue house, which he just sold for $25m in a record deal for the Gold Coast. Potter previously sold a Hedges Avenue property to mining billionaire Clive Palmer for $12m.
Meanwhile, offers of more than $4m are being sought for Rutherford Farm, which has 260ha on three titles, as well as irrigation and stock water, an architecturally designed homestead, a three-bedroom manager’s house plus a worker’s cottage. C1 Realty agent Danny Bukowski will auction the property on September 18. The newly constructed homestead features high ceilings, wraparound verandas and an open-plan design. The three bedrooms feature french doors opening on to verandas for sweeping country views. Other highlights include in-ground pool, hardwood floors, master bedroom with luxury ensuite, main bathroom with freestanding bath, bay windows, and in-ground rainwater tanks. Located at 306 Tramway Road, Christmas Creek, the property is regarded as a prime example of highly arable Scenic Rim cultivation and grazing land, improved with both cattle and horse infrastructure.
