Olympic Gold medallist Libby Trickett and her entrepreneur husband, Luke Trickett, have paid $20m for a riverfront mansion in the elite Brisbane suburb of Hawthorne.

They join other richlisters in the area, which was also home to Gina Rinehart who purchased a riverfront property in the same suburb back in 2018 for $18.5m.

For their $20m the Tricketts score a riverfront mansion, once owned by Brisbane pharmacist Don Gardiner, replete with swimming pool, boat shed, and five bedrooms across 2175sqm. The property also has 20 metres of absolute river frontage with the deal negotiated back in December, 2024 by Place New Farm agent Sarah Hackett.

Ms Hackett declined to comment.

That same month the Tricketts listed their renovated Noosa Heads townhouse fronting Pandanus St. The four bedroom and two bathroom property had recently undergone a Shaun Lockyer renovation.

Further south, celebrity gardener Paul Bangay has re-listed his luxe Victorian estate, the 39-acre Stonefields in Denver, near Porcupine Ridge.

It features a Tuscan-inspired main residence with four bedrooms, a sitting room, and solar heated lap pool. Marshall White agents Marcus Chiminello and Simon O’Donnell are handling the campaign.

The previous, much heralded sale of Stonefields to gardener Jamie Durie collapsed.

Mr Durie and his business partners were close to purchasing Stonefields for more than $11m intending to turn the estate into a luxury retreat but the deal with Opulus Hotels failed to eventuate.

The 14 garden spaces features more than 2500 plants. McGrath agent James Baker is handling the marketing campaign of the Riverview Rd property.

Mr Durie is expecting a hefty $33m for the property which overs Pittwater.
