Penelope and Brad Scott, the former head coach at AFL club North Melbourne, emerged as buyers in Kooyong last month. The solid brick home was bought in Penelope’s name for $3.031 million last August on delayed settlement terms through the Marshall White agency. The five-bedroom home, with two family areas, a formal dining room, study and three bathrooms, had been listed with $2.8m-$3.08m guidance. The home, which sits in 680sq m of gardens, is getting a $100,000 renovation ahead of their relocation, the Capital Gains column recently noted. They will be upgrading from Malvern, where they have owned a three-bedroom townhouse for the past seven years. They paid $2.175m for the then near-new home.

Ex-NAB banker lists home

Former NAB chief of staff Rosemary Rogers and husband Anthony have put their Williamstown trophy home on listing websites. It was previously an off-market offering. The couple are seemingly resigned to make a loss on the Power Street property that cost $3.8m in late 2017. It is now being marketed with a $3.5m-$3.8m guide with offers due by July 4. The 1800s Victorian has four original era bedrooms and two bathrooms off an arched hallway at the front of the house. The rear has been architecturally renovated, featuring an open-plan kitchen, a retreat, living room and third bathroom. There’s an indoor pool with climate-controlled pavilion. RT Edgar Inner West agent Joanne Royston has the listing. Rogers, who was the chief of staff for former NAB boss Andrew Thorburn, was charged in March with 56 counts of being an agent corruptly receiving a benefit, and obtaining financial advantage by deception.

Lazarus looks to offload

Rugby league legend turned senator Glenn Lazarus and wife Tess are selling their Brisbane investment. The Toowong property, a stone’s throw from Suncorp Stadium, cost the couple $270,000 in 2002. The rustic worker’s cottage on 405sq m has three bedrooms. McGrath Paddington agent Alex Jordan has the listing. Lazarus won premierships with the Canberra Raiders, Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm over his NRL career. He also represented NSW at Origin level 19 times and Australia 21 times. In 2014, he became senator for Queensland, holding the role for two years.

Television couple upgrade

Channel 7’s Today Tonight presenter Monika Kos and her cameraman husband Grant Willesee have upgraded in Perth. Having sold their 1980s City Beach property for $1.88m, the couple spent $2.225m on a modern home in Doubleview. Built in 2014, the property on 575sq m has four bedrooms and two bathrooms across its two stories. Realmark North Coastal Duncraig agent Jason Kuriata sold the home. Kos, who last year celebrated her 20th anniversary as Today Tonight host, recently sold her Bicton investment apartment.
