Ferrari yarn reappears as SMH ’Exclusive’
IT appears The Sydney Morning Herald editors don’t bother reading newspapers on a weekend.
IT appears The Sydney Morning Herald editors don’t bother reading newspapers on a weekend.
Education reporter Justine Ferrari had a front-page exclusive in Saturday’s Weekend Australian revealing Education Minister Christopher Pyne would unveil an eight-member panel to review the training of teachers this week.
Ferrari, an experienced and award-winning education correspondent, even revealed who the members of the panel would be.
But, according to the Herald, a four-day-old story is new again and their education writer, Matthew Knott wrote the same story, with no new detail, on page 9 today under an ‘Exclusive’ banner.
Perhaps in future Matthew should put Ferrari’s name in his Google alerts if he can’t make it to the newsagency to buy the paper.
