UBS has hired a raft of analysts from other investment banks and accounting firms as it relocates one of its star healthcare researchers from Europe.
The Swiss bank has tapped Bank of America’s media and technology analyst Lucy Huang who will begin in July.
Also joining as an associate in the building materials and steel team is William Wilson after he worked in infrastructure consulting roles with PwC.
Fraser Noye also joins next week from KPMG as an associate in the UBS insurance and diversified financials team.
UBS will also relocate Laura Sutcliffe from London to lead its Australian healthcare coverage.
The Cambridge university graduate, who has gone on to complete a PhD in Engineering and a Master of Philosophy in Bioscience Enterprise, has 17 years’ experience in sell-side research, consulting and academia.
Ms Sutcliffe has focused on global healthcare and for the last four years has been a prominent member of the bank’s European healthcare team covering large cap pharma and biotech.
Evan Karatzas will also transition to take on a lead analyst role within the emerging companies team after starting at UBS in 2017 as an associate in the industrial materials team.
