Nicole Beavan to head Goldman Sachs infrastructure for Australia and NZ
Goldman Sachs has reshuffled its team to make former Oil Search executive Nicole Beavan its head of infrastructure for Australia and New Zealand.
Ms Beavan joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 2006 and held a number of roles within the natural resources team in London and Australia, including chief operating officer for natural resources in Australia and New Zealand.
She rejoined the firm as an executive director in 2021 from Oil Search where she held the role of deputy chief financial officer.
It comes after a busy time for Goldman Sachs in the infrastructure space, as it advises an IFM-led consortium on a $23.6bn acquisition of Sydney Airport, and APA on its attempts to buy AusNet for $10bn.
A year ago, Goldman Sachs implemented a number of changes where its corporate advisory head Christian Johnston became chairman of the bank for Australia and New Zealand.
Zac Fletcher and Nick Sims were made head of the corporate advisory operations for Australia and New Zealand.
Marissa Freund become ANZ head of mergers and acquisitions.
Ian Taylor last year was also brought back to Goldman Sachs’ Australian business to head up equity capital markets after working for the investment bank overseas.
