Citi’s Adam Lavis to retire

Citi’s Australia and New Zealand head of equities Adam Lavis is retiring after eight years with the investment bank and 19 years in the industry.

Mr Lavis joined Citi in Hong Kong during 2011 to run Single Stock derivatives trading, before running all equity-linked trading for across Asia in 2013.

When David Haldane relocated to London to run EMEA Derivatives Trading, Mr Lavis moved home with his family to Sydney to co-head Australian equites with Angus Richardson.

He took full responsibility for the business twelve months later.

Prior to joining Citi, Mr Lavis worked in Hong Kong, London and Sydney.

he will stay with the firm until the end of September and is yet to be replaced.

His staff will, in the meantime, report to Luke Randell.
