Arrow Capital hires new execs
Hot on the heels of launching a new $1bn fund to invest in Australian industrial property with Cerberus Capital Management, Arrow Capital Partners has made two new hires for its business.
Arrow has appointed Stuart Ross and Damian Horton as partners in its Australian operations.
Mr Ross previously worked at JLL Asia with a focus on industrial and logistics transactions and will be responsible for leading transactions for Arrow’s $1bn Strategic Industrial Real Estate vehicle in Australia and for expansion into Asia.
Mr Horton joins from PwC’s Real Estate Advisory practice in Sydney and will oversee property operations, asset management, leasing and due diligence.
He has previously worked as head of property at Cromwell and held senior executive roles at Valad Property Group in Europe and Australia.
Arrow’s managing partner Martyn McCarthy was previously head of Valad Europe and said that the Arrow partners had a long working relationship with Mr Horton.
Arrow launched its SIRE (Strategic Industrial Real Estate) Australia fund with private equity firm Cerberus last year.
The focus has been core plus industrial and logistics assets yielding more than 5 per cent as well as vacant land with lease potential and land to accommodate a build to own strategy.
The fund is focusing on urban infill locations across Australia’s major eastern seaboard markets and strategic transport hubs that are benefiting from structural trends in urbanisation and e-commerce growth.
Arrow has been one of the largest owners of industrial property and urban logistics assets in Australia and Europe for the past 15 years.
With investor partners such as AMB Capital, one of Australia’s largest family offices, over the last 2 years, Arrow has transacted on and managed more than $3 billion of investments across Asia and Europe, and has a team based out of six offices globally.
Arrow targets equity and debt investment opportunities, specialising in cross-border transactions where it can use its platform and balance sheet to invest with its US and Asia-Pacific capital partners into Europe, as well as European and US investors into the Asia-Pacific region.
