Outlook

What excites you heading into 2025? Are you likely to increase, hold steady, or trim your investment spend?

The global energy transition presents enormous opportunity for Australia to be a leading economy in decarbonisation.

Origin has committed approximately $1.7bn to battery storage projects in our portfolio, as we pursue our target to grow our renewable and storage capacity to 4-5 GW by 2030.

Reform

As we move into an election year, in your mind, what’s the single biggest lever that can/should be used to lift Australia’s competitiveness or productivity? This could be across any area from labour market, tax reform, training or other areas to encourage investment.

To deliver on Australia’s energy transition, while ensuring reliable, secure and affordable energy supply, requires us to look carefully at the design of the National Electricity Market.

Energy is fundamentally important to our economic and social wellbeing and decarbonisation of the industry is critical to lowering emissions.
