Fletcher Building has appointed Bevan McKenzie as its new chief financial officer, following the resignation of Gerry Bollman.

Mr Bollman will leave the Ralph Norris-chaired building products manufacturer (FBU) after four years at the end of the year and return to the US to start another CFO role.

As group general manager for strategy and corporate development, his replacement created the company’s strategic blueprint and oversaw the acquisition and integration of road construction business Higgins.

Mr McKenzie has previously worked at Boston Consulting Group and Roquette Freres in France.

“I am delighted that our focus on building internal leadership capability and talent will result in the promotion of Bevan McKenzie to the executive committee,” chief executive Mark Adamson said.

Shares in New Zealand-based, ASX-listed Fletcher Building are up 63 per cent over the past year amid continued solid activity in the construction industry.
