DAVID Kirk has been appointed chairman of Kathmandu, after joining the retail group as a non-executive director in November last year.
In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Kathmandu said Mr Kirk would replace John Harvey, who has been acting chairman since last March.
Mr Kirk said continuing to build Kathmandu's global presence in the outdoor and adventure market would be a key focus in the role.
Kathmandu said at the time of his initial appointment to the board in November, it was the intention of the company to appoint Mr Kirk to the role of chairman early this year.
