Twice-married gaming billionaire James Packer has stepped out in the ski resort town of Aspen, Colorado, with his new girlfriend.

Twice-married gaming billionaire James Packer has stepped out in the ski resort town of Aspen, Colorado, with his new girlfriend, a Canadian business owner and model called Kylie, a year after splitting with his former fiancee, singing star Mariah Carey.

It is believed the new couple — who have been in the US glamour ski resort town over the past week — have been seeing each other for several months.

Mr Packer, 50, now technically declares Aspen home, where he shares ownership of a luxury property with his second wife, Erica Baxter. The former couple have three children together, who are expected to also be in Aspen for Christmas. It is believed Mr Packer, who has spent much of a turbulent year holed up at his luxury polo ranch Ellerstina just outside Buenos Aires, plans to move back to Sydney in two years’ time.

Last week, Crown announced the billionaire had spent $60 million buying two levels of the gaming giant’s under-construction casino development at Sydney’s Barangaroo that he intends to call home.

He and his new girlfriend are believed to be spending Christmas in the ski resort, where Australian billionaire and media mogul Kerry Stokes — who is something of a father figure to Mr Packer — also has a home.

Carey also usually spends the festive season there.
