Duxton Asset Management has a plan to become the biggest beekeeper in Australia, providing pollination services to various agricultural sectors.

The company is now advertising for its first chief executive officer, and the listing joins roles at Lenswood Apples and Adelaide Equity Partners among other top level roles being advertised in South Australia

Duxton has its fingers in many agricultural pies, owning large vineyard holdings as well as almonds, dairies, orchards and pubs.

The Adelaide-based investment outfit, which also has two listed arms, has spoke before about its desire to become Australia’s largest beekeeping company, and is now looking for a chief executive to drive the program.

The company also spoke recently about its plans to revitalise the Australian dried fruits industry.

Morton Phillips is helping Lenswood Apples recruit a new boss for the Adelaide Hills co-operative, chaired by Iain Evans. As well as supplying half of the state’s apples, the co-op is also researching new apple varieties and is looking for someone to take the reins as it looks to trademark new apple varieties and continue to supply its high quality produce.

ADELAIDE EQUITY PARTNERS - INVESTMENT BANKING ASSOCIATE

AEP has been behind many of the corporate finance deals in Adelaide since its founding in 2004, claiming to have been involved in more than $2bn in capital raisings and $2.7bn in transactions. The firm is after an associate with a minimum of five years’ experience in investment banking.

With domestic tourism at the fore due to the pandemic, local marketing is ramping up, giving these roles even more importance than previously in a competitive national environment.. The development manager role will lead a team overseeing events such as the NRL State of Origin, Adelaide International, Illuminate Adelaide, Winter Reds and Barossa Vintage Festival.

Global outfit Honeywell acquired Adelaide tech company Sine recently and is obviously wasting no time capitalising on the purchase. Sine has offices in Adelaide, Los Angeles and The Philippines, with more to come, and is looking for someone to “lead all digital campaigns and develop new and innovative ways to boost our digital footprint’’.
