Rolls Royce will inspect the engine of a Qantas plane that was forced to divert to Sydney just hours into its trip from Melbourne to Dubai.
On April 5, flight QF9 was re-routed to Sydney about three hours into its flight because of an engine vibration issue.
The 410 passengers on-board the flight were able to take another A380 aircraft to continue on to Dubai.
The engine that suffered the vibration was replaced in Sydney last week. The engine in question is now being inspected by Qantas’s engineering team and Rolls Royce.
